Author Summary
R.A. Evans is a husband and father of three small children. Between diaper changes, late-night feedings, and t-ball games he finds time to catch his breath by golfing horribly, reliving his misspent youth playing video games, reading anything he can lay his hands on and, of course, writing. A graduate of Grand Valley State University, Evans started his career at a small town newspaper, and has spent the past fifteen years working in health communications.
NOVEL SUMMARY – Asylum Lake
Memories are like water. Some float on the surface bright clear. Some lie deeper – blurred by time and distance. Others rest far from the light in the depths of the darkness. These memories are best forgotten.
At the bottom of Asylum Lake
the unremembered are growing restless.
After the sudden death of his wife, Brady Tanner moves to the small Michigan town where he spent summers as a youth. But he soon learns that small towns can be stained by memories…and secrets too. As Brady is drawn into unearthing the secrets of the town and of the abandoned psychiatric hospital on the shores of Asylum Lake, he discovers a new love in an old friend. But there is an evil presence lurking beneath the waters of the lake. What is the source of this evil–and what does it want with Brady Tanner?

You came to the Bedford Library in Bedford, MI when I received. I was so excited to read this story. I just finished the book last night and it was incredible! The first chapter didn’t interest me and I thought the book wasn’t going to be that good. But after I got into it, it was surprisingly addicting! Chapter 5-7 was very descriptive and creeped me out, but I was curious as to what was making Lionel do that. I really didn’t want to put the book down till I was finished! I was reading the last 10 chapters while I was eating my dinner. I can’t wait till your second book comes out because I will definitely be buying it!
I agree I thought the same thing of chapter one. I was so hoping this wasn’t gonna be one of those books like King writes. By the time I made it to chapter five, oh wow, right?
Thank you, Madison. Chapter 5 tends to either draw people in or scare them off
Great book, but was a little upset that it wasn’t true.
Sorry for your disappointment.
What is the correct coupon code to get Asylum Lake free at Smashwords? This is the 2nd time (1st back on Feb 14) when the coupon code posted on onlinenovels blog is rejected at Smashwords as being expired. I am very frustrated when the coupon won’t work on the very same day it is 1st posted.
